Canadian Election 2015 “reality checks”:

As a key member of CBC’s Canadian Election 2015 research team, I produced a number of reality checks for CBC’s The National, including the one below. Our team would put these together after debates, fact checking leaders’ statements and promises and highlighting key points of interest– and contention:

Canadian Election 2015 Leader Tracker:

During the election campaign, I tracked party leaders’ whereabouts for 79 days, building the data into an interactive map. It was popular with readers and the data was used throughout the course of CBC’s election coverage.

I was brought on to come up with story ideas and help execute them. The series ended up being a success and culminated with a town hall that generated quality debate and discussion about what the city should look like to best serve its residents.

Pan Am Games 2015:

When the Pan Am Games took over Toronto in the summer of 2015, I was asked to help coordinate coverage and produce Pan Am features. During this time, I helped come up with unique story ideas and angles, produced Pan Am items, lined up interviews with key athletes and gathered interviews and material.
