I’m a freelance journalist based in London, U.K. predominantly covering immigration, human rights issues and politics.

My work has been featured by The Independent, The Bureau of Investigative Journalism, The Guardian, Forbes, Newsweek, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC and others.

I have previously served as Chief Correspondent for Newsweek‘s London bureau and have also been on employed by a number of other publications, including The Independent and the CBC.

In 2018, my immigration reporting in Greece co-won a Migration Media Award, which included a grant to do more storytelling.

I studied journalism under the University of Western Ontario’s MA Journalism program and a BA (Hons.) in Anthropology from McMaster University.
